The Vertex Data Charter
The shortest, clearest document Vertex publishes. Eight promises in total — five from us, three from you.
The Vertex Data Charter
This is the document you signed during onboarding. It is short, on purpose. It is the agreement between us about how your information is treated.
Five promises Vertex makes to you
1. We will not sell your data. Ever. Not to advertisers. Not to data brokers. Not to political campaigns. Not to research firms. Not in aggregate, not in anonymised form, not in any form.
2. We will not track you outside Vertex. No cookies on third-party sites. No SDK in other apps reporting back. When you close Vertex, we lose sight of you, and that is the way it should be.
3. We will not micro-target advertising. Sponsors choose the surface, not the reader. There is no “behavioural advertising” on Vertex. There never will be.
4. We will not use you to train models on your private data. Your reading history, your messages, your circles — these will never be used to train AI, including our own.
5. We will explain ourselves. Every meaningful change to data handling will be announced 30 days in advance with a plain-language explanation.
Three commitments you make to us
1. You are a human. You have been verified. You will not run accounts for bots, scrapers, or automated agents.
2. You will participate kindly. Mitram will guide you. Disagreement is welcome; cruelty is not.
3. You will report what feels wrong. If something on Vertex feels manipulative, dishonest, or against this Charter, you will tell us. We are accountable to you.
