Privacy Policy

What we collect, what we never collect, what we do with it, and your rights. About 5 minutes.

What we collect, and what we do not

We collect: your name, your email, your verified-human credentials, your reading history, your published creative work, your messages and circle activity, and the choices you make in Settings.

We do not collect: your location beyond the country level, your contacts list, your device’s sensor data, your browsing history outside Vertex, or any tracker-based data from third-party sites.

We do not enrich your profile with data brokers, data lakes, or third-party identity providers. Your Vertex profile is built entirely from what you do on Vertex.

What we do with what we collect

Your reading history shapes your personal feed. Nothing else. It is not shared, sold, syndicated, or shown to anyone else, including other Vertex users.

Your messages are end-to-end encrypted between you and your circle. We cannot read them. Mitram’s kindness check happens on your device before the message is encrypted, and looks only at the message you are about to send.

Your published creative work is public by design. Your reading patterns are private by design. This is the line.

Where your data lives

Your data is stored on servers in India, on infrastructure owned by SequSpace. We do not use third-party clouds for personal data. Your account is hosted in your country of registration, by default.

Backup data is encrypted at rest and stored in two geographic regions, both within India. We will never transfer your personal data outside India without your explicit, in-app, opt-in consent.

Your rights

You can ask, at any time, for a complete export of your data. Your reading history, your messages (decrypted using your key), your published work, and your accolades will be sent to you as a downloadable archive within seven days.

You can ask for a complete deletion. We will execute it within seven days, and confirm it in writing.

You can correct anything that is wrong about you, at any time, from Settings → Profile.
